About
Lester F Littell III MD
Dr Littell began his career as a medical missionary bush pilot. This combination of aviation and medicine led him to found an emergency department staffing company serving 15 hospitals in 5 states.
Dr Littell's interest in orthopaedics took root in the emergency room. He completed a fellowship in orthopeadic oncology.
Dr Littell founded the Occupational Rehabilitation Center which was the first affiliate assessment center for Vanderbilt University. Post operative rehabilitation exposed a need for a better technique for hip replacement. He was the 26th doctor trained to do the Direct Anterior Approach for Arthroplasty. Dr Littell has since performed the procedure over 1,500 times and trained more than 200 doctors.
